Hi everyone,
I know someone must have the answer to this. Has the US ever used a dozer blade on an M113. I found some picture of ones used by other nations but none at least labeled as US vehicles.
Sincerely,
Brian

Dozer 113,
The dozer on the M113 was used sporadicly in vetinam. There are not many pics published of it's use tho. They also used the bridge layer on the 113.
Check Squadron Signals book Armor in Vietnam for pics.

Hi Todd,
Are you sure the m113 with dozer was used during the Vietnam war? I would like to do such a vehicle in a Vietnam-setting but I couldn't find any evidence it was really used.
So I hope it was actually
kind regards
Mark

I know that the 1/27th Wolfhounds of the 25th Inf had them. They used a couple of them to dig out some of our perimeter bunkers at Cu Chi while I was stationed there. This was in 1967. Some of the Cav units had them as well.

The verlinden M113 dozer kit is still available. I have 2 and it is not a bad kit. Not much work is required. I hope to be building one soon. Their is not much reference photos. But if you go this link http://www.armouredengineer.force9.co.uk/bucket/dozer.htm
this should help you.
I hope to build one soon as i do alot of M113 variants as i used to drive them in 1AR
If you need this kit drop me an email

Here is a pic of the M 577
Matt: I'm not sure a Hypothertical engeneer 577 is a good Idea. It is pretty useless for anything else than C2IS and as an aid station. Don't think it will manage a dozer blade very well. I command one for a living, and the 577 is a "female dog" off road.
